Dear Friends,
    Hope with Thakur, Maa and Swamiji's Grace you all are in good health and spirit.
    Perhaps you are aware that this year (2008-2009) the Golden Jubilee Celebration of our beloved Vidyalaya is being celebrated. Your 'PRAKTANI' is actively involved with it to make the year long celebration kicked off in grandeur on 12th of January 2008, the birthday of Swamiji with a colourful Procession with several tableaus from "GOLPARK TO NARENDRAPUR" and more than hundred of our ex-students and Monks from Narendrapur walked the entire path chanting devotional songs.

    A brief of the various Programmes organized since then is given below for your knowledge :
    1. 12th January :
        (a) Procession from Golpark to Narendrapur.
        (b) Release of Commemorative Stamp on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee Celebration by the eminent scholar of our Country Dr. Abdul Kalam Ex-president of India.
    2. 19th, 20th & 30th January 2008 : "SWAMI LOKESWARANANDA" Memorial Inter School Tournament was held in the 20-20 format and the trophy won by "Calcutta Boys School".
    3. 23rd to 27th January 2008 : Annual Exhibition of our Vidyalaya and several Cultural Programmes by renowned artists till May 2008.
    4. Inter School Table Tennis Tournament was held on 6th of July 2008, where B. D. Memorial won the Trophy.

    Over and above the events already organized we would also like to intimate you about our proposed forth coming tentative Programmes which are as follows :
    (1) 15th, 16th & 17th August 2008 : Inter School (R. K. Mission Schools Only) Football Tournament.
    (2) A Seminar on some contemporary subject by eminent scholars.
    (3) During Mini Vacation in August 2008 a Study Camp for the School Students.
    (4) 5th Sept. 2008 : Teachers Seminar
    (5) 11th Sept. 2008 : Parliament of Religions
    (6) Dec 2008 :
        a) Study Camp for the School Students
        b) Inter-school Athletic Meet.

    25th DECEMBER 2008 : REUNION OF OUR EX-STUDENTS
        On this day we have decided the following :
        Felicitate all the Past Headmaster of our Vidyalaya.
        Felicitate Students of the 1st Batch (1961).
        Felicitate some Present teachers and Non Teaching Staff.
        Monetary Help to some Neighbouring Schools.
        Donation to the Proposed "Staff Welfare Fund" of our Vidyalaya.

    Friends you will appreciate that to make such proposals a reality the "Praktani" needs to build up a Substantial Fund which will only be possible with your active help. Keeping in mind our deep routed attachment and indebtedness towards the Institute which has made us what we are today, we would like to request you all to donate freely as per your means to implement our above mentioned proposals. Please also insist your Batchmates to become the "Life Member" of our Vidyalaya Praktani. You will find the Format of the Application Form at this Website.
    We need a solid fund to carryout all those programmes successfully. We hope our Praktanis will be honoured to donate generously to our Golden Jubilee Fund. The Cheques or Bank Drafts should be sent in the name of Vidyalaya Praktani, Narendrapur or Narendrapur R. K. M. Vidyalaya Praktani.
