My dear alumnus,

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to join our Golden Jubilee Celebration. We have planned a year-long programme to observe the great occasion, which will commence on January 23, 2008.

As you know, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur, had its auspicious beginning in 1958, on the day of Akhsay Tritiya. We have always followed the man-making mission of Swami Vivekananda, giving shape to his ideal of education. The entire range of academic, extra-curricular and spiritual activities followed in this ashrama, guided by the teachers and the monks, is aimed towards that goal. Over five decades, thousands of young minds have entered this ashrama. They have made the school their second home, and left the school with their heads held high. They are all members of the great Ramakrishna Parivara. They are our ambassadors to the world, carrying the spirit of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda far and wide.

The Golden Jubilee is an opportunity to renew your bond with the Vidyalaya. We welcome you to participate in the celebrations. Highlights of the programmes are given in the link above. The gross budgetary estimate may be Rs. 1 crore.

Please contribute whatever you can to make the occasion a success. Any amount of your loving contribution will be respectfully accepted. It is needless to mention that we shall bank on your spontaneous support. Cheques/ Demand Drafts, if any, should be issued in favour of "Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur". The names of the contributors will be published in our Reports and literature. All donations are exempt from I. T. U/s 80G of the I. T. Act, 1961.

Please also get in touch with other alumni, whose address may not be with us. You are welcome to visit the Vidyalaya with your family at any time. The blessings of Thakur, Ma and Swamiji will always be with you.
